Issue 3 press release

"GET LOST!" PROOF PUNK'S NOT DEAD

' Perth writers prove punk's not dead with third issue of fanzine "Lost in the Suburbz" scheduled to be released at local gig.

In a true do-it-yourself launch, the punk lifestyle magazine "Lost in the Suburbz" will release its third issue on Saturday the 21st March at a local punk concert held at the Hyde Park Hotel, North Perth from 8pm onward. The gig will feature an impressive line-up of local bands that include Tomas Ford, The New Husseins, The FAIM Project (formerly Sixgun), Scrimshaw Raw, and Good Willed Hate in an endeavour to kickoff the release of a truly punk and truly local Perth-based D-I-Y fanzine.

"Lost"’s first issue was released late October 2007, focusing its first issue heavily on punk lifestyle in Perth. Since its release in 2007, the Perth based zine has recieved attention and readers in 5 continents. Which is a great achievement for a zine that "we thought wouldn't get past issue one" says Cadbury, the creator of "Lost in the Suburbz".

The "Lost in the Suburbz" crew have enthusiastically developed a different layout for the new issue to bring back the cut and paste style that is so well known and loved in the punk scene, but has kept true to the regular content that the "Lost in the Suburbz" readers have grown to love; of local bands and punk acts, as well as the usual columns by Goth Cunt, Barclay and Little G. In issue 3 "Lost in the Suburbz" introduces two new writers who are known on the local scene; The FAIM Project's NoahSkape, who is doubling as the Lost in the Suburbz's sexy cover boy for issue 3, and Zero Interest. "Lost in the Suburbz always has and always will be about local Perth music and being punk in the most isolated city in the world" - Cadbury.

Lost's aim is to capture the overall essence of what it means to be a punk in Perth and revive a very much underground part of music culture which has been lost for many years.
